4:00 p.m. ~ Registration & Audition for dancers ages 12 and up.
Audition fee $25.00.
The Nutcracker is produced by Hamilton Academy of Performing Arts in partnership with Hamilton City Ballet and Hamilton City Ballet Orchestra, directed by Max Ratevosian and Melania Pawliw. The HCBO is conducted by Maestro Mate Szigeti.
Performance dates: December 7 & 8, 2018 at the McIntyre Performing Arts Centre, Mohawk College, Hamilton.
The auditions are for ages 8 to professional for all roles including: Clara, Princess Clara, the Nutcracker, Harlequin Doll, Ballerina Doll, Moor Doll, Party Children, Fritz, Parents, Grandparents, King of Mice, Mice, Angels, Bakers, Spanish, Arabian Dance, Chinese, Russian, Pas-de-trois, Mother Ginger, Clown Children, Snowflakes and Waltz of the Flowers.
For the audition, please bring your ballet attire, soft ballet shoes, pointe shoes (if applicable). Ladies must have their hair in a ballet bun.
Rehearsals will be held every Sunday from September to the performances. Additional rehearsals may be added during the week.
