All programs are offered for 2 or 4 weeks.

At HCB we offer summer programs in collaboration with the Hamilton Academy of Performing Arts for local and international students from ages 5 to 16 and adults. Programs are designed to improve student’s technical and artistic abilities. Classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced staff in a safe and friendly environment. We believe that students of all ages should have the opportunity to experience an enriching program in which they can practice their artistic qualities, learn new skills and meet new people. At the end of each session, the students will prepare a presentation of their hard work in our school’s Grand Hall and we welcome all family and friends to observe!

Program I Kids' Dance
Age 5 - 8
Dance, Arts and Crafts, Recreational Games

Program II Junior/Senior Dance
Age 9 - 16
Ballet, modern, character dance, choreography, stretch and conditioning.

Program III Senior Ballet Intensive
Age 12 - 16
Ballet, pointe, variations, pas-de-deux, repertoire, character dance, modern, stretch and conditioning.
*Acceptance by auditions only.

Program IV Theatre Arts
Age 9 - 16
Exploration of different dramatic forms and techniques, vocal training, stage movement, monologues, costume and stage design.

Auditions

Students ages 12 - 16 must audition for the Summer Intensive Ballet Program.

Audition Schedule:
9-10 AM: Registration
10-11:30 AM: Ballet class (group audition)

Audition Requirements:
Registration Form - to be filled out one hour prior to audition
Audition Fee - Upon completion of registration for audition, you will be asked to pay the non-refundable $25 fee.
Please bring a labeled headshot photo when you arrive.
Ballet Dress Code
ladies - leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, pointe shoes (if applicable), hair in ballet bun
men - black tights, black/white fitted t-shirt, black/white socks and ballet shoes.
